Begrafenisondernemer Boris Plotz uit Wales is al dertig jaar verliefd op Betty, die helaas is getrouwd met de burgemeester. Boris' zaken lopen niet best vanwege een Amerikaanse concurrent en Betty wordt door haar man bedrogen. De twee besluiten er samen vandoor te gaan, maar dat verloopt niet helemaal volgens plan!
