Het fantastische viertal werd al twee keer eerder op het grote scherm gebracht; in 2005 en 2007. In deze reboot worden de hoofdrollen vertolkt door (Reed Richards alias Mr. Fantastic), (Sue Storm alias The Invisible Woman), (Johnny Storm alias The Human Torch) en (Ben Grimm alias The Thing).
