PARASITE grote winnaar van de Oscars 2020

Brad Pitt ontvangt erste Oscar

10-2-2020 : De Zuid-Koreaanse film PARASITE werd gekozen tot Beste Film en won in drie andere categorieën. JOAQUIN PHOENIX won Beste Acteur en RENÉE ZELLWEGER Beste Actrice. Cameraman ROGER DEAKINS won zoals verwacht voor zijn werk aan de one-shot-film 1917.

De Zuid-Koreaanse film PARASITE — die eerder al de Gouden Palm won — won ook de prijs voor INTERNATIONAL FEATURE FILM (voorheen Niet-Engelstalige film). Er vielen geen Nederlanders dit jaar in de prijzen. Grote verliezer was de film van Martin Scorsese The Irishman die geen van de 9 nominaties kon verzilveren.
